Google Workspace → Microsoft 365: one weekend, zero downtime
- The problem
- Running on Google Workspace, the team had outgrown it. Group and shared mailboxes were unreliable to access consistently, there was no clean way to track what happened to a customer email once several staff could see it, admin oversight across the business was thin, and collaboration just didn’t work the way a 150-person dealership actually needs it to.
- What we did
- We planned the entire migration in advance, then executed it over a single weekend: all 150 computers, every mailbox, calendar and file moved across to Microsoft 365, with the Otterly Minimum Standard (backup, anti-phishing, monitoring) live before a single person logged back in.
- The result
- Staff left work Saturday afternoon still on the old system. By Monday morning, every desk had Outlook open with every email exactly where they’d left it: no downtime, no missing mail, no support tickets from confused staff.
“We left on Saturday still on GSuite and walked in Monday with everything already sitting in Outlook. A 150-computer migration, and it felt like nothing had changed at all, except everything actually worked better.”
