IT support in Fortitude Valley

This is our home stretch of river. Month-to-month managed IT for Valley businesses, from a team that works in the same postcode.

Based in the Valley, not just driving through it

Otterly.cloud is a Fortitude Valley business. When something needs hands rather than a remote session (a new starter's desk, a comms cupboard, a meeting-room screen that has decided not to talk to anyone), we're coming from around the corner, not across the city in peak-hour traffic.

Day to day, most problems get fixed remotely through the unlimited helpdesk in your plan. When a visit is the better answer, there's no travel fee in the river system, and the Valley sits right in the middle of it. Time on-site is our standard $189/hr, and we tell you before we come.

Same stretch of river?

Is Otterly a fit for your business?

Behind the Valley's nightlife reputation is a lot of serious daytime work. If most of these sound like you, we'll probably swim well together.

  • An office of roughly 20 to 200 people. Agencies, professional services firms, hospitality groups, clinics and growing start-ups: big enough that a dead laptop or a phished mailbox costs real hours, usually without a full-time IT person.
  • On Microsoft 365, or ready to move. We're Microsoft 365 first. If you're on Google Workspace or something older, we'll plan the move across properly.
  • Done with lock-ins and faraway ticket queues. If you've outgrown an IT contract you can't leave, or you're tired of logging tickets with a team that's never seen your office, month-to-month with local otters will feel very different.
  • Keen on someone local. When a problem needs a person in the room, there's no travel fee anywhere in our river system, and the Valley is right in the middle of it.

Practical, local IT

The jobs that go better with a local team

Office moves and fit-outs

Changing floors or moving into a new tenancy is project work. We plan the move with you, build the network at the new space from scratch, and get every computer back online and working before your team walks in. Project work is the same $189/hr, quoted before we start.

When it needs paws on

Some problems don't show up on a remote screen: a blinking switch in the comms cupboard, a cable that's been kicked loose, a printer that only fails for one floor. When that happens, we'll scamper over and take a look in person, rather than walking you through it on the phone. No travel fee in the river system, and we tell you before we come.

How it works

Month-to-month, and you choose what's on the plate

  • Pick the services you need from the menu, priced per user, per computer and per server.
  • The Minimum Standard security items are already in every quote, as visible line items.
  • No onboarding fee, no annual contract. If we stop earning our keep, you can leave at the end of the month.

Getting started

What your first month looks like

  1. 1

    We take the handover

We work with your current provider to move admin access, Microsoft 365, domains and DNS across to us, and we chase the bits nobody wrote down. If they're slow to help, that's our problem to solve, not yours.

  2. 2

    The Minimum Standard check

We check your setup against the Otterly Minimum Standard: mailbox backup, anti-phishing, device and server monitoring, and 24/7 EDR. Anything outdated or unsuitable gets flagged with a recommended fix, so you know exactly where you stand.

What the Minimum Standard covers →
  3. 3

    Support switched on

Every computer is enrolled into management and monitoring, and your team gets unlimited remote helpdesk during business hours. No onboarding fee on top.

Fortitude Valley quick answers

Puzzled cartoon otter surrounded by teal question marks

Do you come on site in Fortitude Valley?

Yes. We're based in Fortitude Valley, and there's no travel fee anywhere in our river system. Most issues are fixed remotely as part of your plan; when a visit is needed it's our standard $189/hr with a one-hour minimum, and we tell you before we come.

Is there a lock-in contract?

No. Every Otterly plan runs month-to-month with no annual term, no exit fees and no onboarding fee. You can add or drop optional services, or leave, at the end of any month. The Minimum Standard security items stay in every plan.

What size businesses do you support?

Our sweet spot is Valley and inner-Brisbane businesses with 20 to 200 staff: enough people that an outage stops real work, usually without a dedicated in-house IT team. Pricing is per user, per computer and per server, so it scales with headcount.

Can you take over from our current IT provider?

Yes. We handle the handover, including when the outgoing provider is slow to help. One Brisbane civil contractor came to us after their provider went silent for weeks; we got locked-out staff back into their laptops on-site and brought every device under proper management.

Neighbours already? Let's say hello.

Tell us about your Valley office and what's bugging you. A human otter replies, and if a chat at your desk makes more sense, we can come over.
